Export projects, tasks, time entries, and user data as Excel files or timeline images, and sync with Google Sheets for analysis and client sharing
Here's how to export projects, tasks, time entries, time reports, and data about users and clients - including Google Sheets integration.
Important: Once an export has been created successfully, you'll receive a notification in awork with a link to download the document.

Export projects
The project overview can be exported from both list view and timeline view. The export includes the raw data from your project overview, which you can use for your own analyses, for example.

Open the project overview and select List or Timeline in the header.

Click the action button in the top right.

Select Export.
Export tasks
You can download all tasks from a project in Excel format (.xlsx) and process them further.

Open the project and switch to your desired view (Tasks, Board, or Timeline).

Click the action button in the top right below the header.

Select Export tasks.
Export views

Open Views in the main menu

Select a standard view or a filter you've created.

Click the action button in the top right below the header.

Select Export.
Export timeline as image
You can export the entire timeline as an image, download it, and share it with a client or include it in a presentation, for example.

Open the Timeline in your project.

Click the action button in the top right below the header.

Select Export as SVG or Export as PNG.
The export includes all displayed tasks plus the entire time range of these tasks plus one week at the start and end.
Your entire configured view will be included (e.g., zoom level, language, dark mode).
Export time entries
You can download recorded time entries in Excel format (.xlsx) and process them further.
My time entries
In the Time menu item, you can export your recorded time entries. The export is available in Overview, My Day, and My Week.

Open the Time menu in the left navigation bar.

Stay in Overview with all time entries, select the date range at the top center and group by activity, billability, project, day, week, month, quarter, or year;
or switch to My Day or My Week. -
Click the Export button in the top right and download the export.
Time entries for a task
- In the task detail view, click the green Logged box in the task KPIs (Due, Planned, Logged). This gives you an overview of the time entries logged for this task.
- Click the Export icon in the top right to export.
Export time reports
The report data can be exported in two ways using the icons in the top right:

Print timesheet or save as PDF

Export table as Excel file (.xlsx) as raw data or formatted
Tip: Using the options, you can format the export (only available for PDF format and formatted export) by filtering, grouping, summing, or sorting data. You can also set which columns to display and decide how data should be rounded.

Export users
You can export the user overview or download time entries and projects for individual users.
Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the bottom left of the main menu). Select Users.
To export the user overview:

Sort or filter the view and select which columns to display.

Click the action button in the top right and select Export.
To export user time entries and user projects:

Select a user from the overview.

Open the Projects or Time entries tab

Click the action button and select Export.
Export clients
You can export the client overview or the projects and time entries of a client.
- Open Clients in the main menu on the left under Workspace.
To export the client overview:
- Click the action button in the top right and select Export.
To export time entries and projects for a client:

Select a client.

Go to the Projects or Time entries tab

Click the action button and select Export.
Export data via Google Sheets integration

Do you want to be notified by email as soon as an export is ready? Enable the Notify me when an export is ready option in your account settings.
