The awork Browser Extension for Time Tracking (Chrome & Arc)

The awork browser extension lets you track time with just one click, no matter which tab you're on. All your data automatically syncs with your awork account to keep your workflow seamless. Switch between tasks, tabs, and tools without losing track of your time.

Time Tracking Options

With the browser extension, you have access to all the essential time tracking features awork offers. The time you log gets transferred to your connected workspace in real time. The extension gives you these time tracking functions:

• Start and stop the timer for projects or tasks
• Pause the timer
• Discard the timer
• Set time as billable or non-billable

Default Project

When you start the timer through the extension, your time automatically gets logged to a project or task you've selected. If you haven't picked a project, it'll use the default project you set up beforehand.

To set your default project, click "Open settings" in the top right corner of the awork extension. From there, you can pick a project from your workspace. When you start the timer through the extension and don't have a project selected, your time will automatically be logged to your default project.

Timer Integration

With direct timer integration, you can display the classic awork timer in tools like Github, Pipedrive, MOCO, and helloHQ. You can stop, pause, or discard the timer right there.

To show the timer in these tools, open "Settings" in the top right corner of the browser extension. You'll see all the tools where you can turn on this timer integration. Once you check a tool, the integration activates and you can use the awork timer on that tool's pages.

Use the "Open awork" button in the top right corner of the browser extension to jump straight to your connected workspace.

Browser Icon Status

The awork icon for the browser extension has three different color statuses that show you whether the extension is active:

• Gray awork icon: You're not logged into your awork account and you're not tracking time.
• Black awork icon: You're logged into your awork account and you're not tracking time.
• Purple awork icon: You're logged into your awork account and you're currently tracking time.

How to Install the Extension:

1. Open the Chrome Web Store
2. Search for the awork extension and select it
3. Click "Add"
4. Confirm the required permissions and click "Add extension"
5. Click the awork icon next to your address bar to set up the extension
6. A window will open where you can sign in
7. Sign in to awork and choose a workspace if you have more than one
8. Click the awork icon in your browser extensions again to open and start using the timer
