Converting Guests to External Users

Learn how you can convert guests to external users so you can collaborate seamlessly on projects.

• Collaboration: Share project access with the same features available in guest licenses.

How Does the Conversion Work?

1. Navigate to Settings > Rights Management in the left menu.
2. Scroll down to the list of assigned permission roles.
3. Type "guest" in the search bar at the top left to see all guest users.
4. Select a guest you want to convert and click the Connect icon next to that user's permission role.
5. After confirmation, the guest will see a popup in awork the next time they visit your workspace (Note: You may need to refresh the page).
6. Once they accept the migration, the guest gets their own free awork workspace and access to your shared project.

Important Information

• A person with a full awork license CANNOT be migrated to an external user.

• Deactivated guests can be migrated to external users.

• If the migration frees up a full license, you can reduce the number of licenses under Settings > Manage Plan. This will be reflected in your next billing cycle.
