My Tracked Time

What does "My Tracked Time" show?

In the Time menu, you'll find an overview of all the time you've tracked. There are three different views available:

  • My Day
  • My Week
  • My Time

☝️ Note: You can also view tracked time directly on the task. To do this, go to your task's detail view and click the green "Accrued" button in the task KPIs section (Due Date, Planned, Accrued, Progress). A small window will open showing you all the time tracked on that task so far. You can find more info here.

My Day - Daily View

The My Day view shows you all the time you've tracked today (or on any other selected day). A circular progress bar at the top left fills up as you track time. The maximum value of the display is your weekly capacity / 5.

Below that is a list of all time entries tracked for the day.

Track time with Click & Drag

In the middle and right area, you'll see a timeline showing the hours of the day. You can create new time tracking entries here using click and drag.

With drag and drop, you can move time entries and adjust their start and end times.

The dashed lines indicate two things:

  1. When you first opened awork on that day.
  2. The current time.

Suggestions from activity in awork

To the right of your tracked time, you'll find suggestions (Activity) from awork on which items you might want to track more time for. These are based on completed tasks, time you track regularly, and so on.

When you click on these, the window for creating a new time entry will automatically be filled with that information and you can save it.

If you don't want to receive these suggestions, you can hide them in your account settings (via the user menu in the top right of the screen).

Track time from calendar events

On the right side, you can integrate your Google, Apple, or Microsoft calendar using the calendar icon. Your appointments will then be displayed in the timeline and you can add a new time entry with one click on an appointment.

You can learn how to integrate your calendar here.

My Week - Weekly View

In the My Week view, you can see all your time entries for the week. The weekly view works without specific times. All time tracking entries for the days are displayed and the height represents the duration of each entry.

☝️ Note: The time blocks shown in the "My Week" view are based on your specified weekly capacity. For example, if only 4 hours of availability are set for Monday, the time block will only be displayed for 4 hours.

The daily totals, e.g. 2h/8h, mean: tracked time / daily capacity

  • In purple when capacity has not been exceeded

  • In red when capacity has been exceeded

Add time entries

By clicking on the dashed boxes, you can add new time entries. awork will automatically fill the duration to 8 hours. This way, you can easily track full-day time entries for your entire week.

Move time entries

You can move time entries in the weekly view between days using drag and drop, or change their duration by dragging the bottom edge to make them larger or smaller.

My Time - List View

In the My Time view, you can see all your tracked time at a glance. Additionally, you can use the icons in the top right to export your time, search for a specific entry, and group entries however you like.

☝️ Important: Time from timers that are still running will not be displayed here.

☝️ Note: Absences will only appear once a time period has been selected.

Edit time entries individually or multiple at once

There are several ways to edit time entries in this view:

Edit individually:
Click the action button on an entry to open a window where you can edit it.

Edit multiple at once:

  • Use the checkboxes to the left of the entries to select them.
  • An action menu will then appear at the bottom, allowing you to perform actions like "mark as billed".
  • You can also select all entries in a group by checking the checkbox in the group header.

Depending on your permissions in the access management, you can also change the project, task, or user for multiple entries at once.
