System Requirements for awork

Operating Systems

awork runs in your browser and is optimized for the latest Windows and macOS systems. While awork can basically be used on older systems, we recommend keeping your devices up to date so you can benefit from the latest security and performance improvements.

Your system should have at least a quad-core processor with 1.6 GHz or faster, 8 GB of RAM, and 500 MB of free SSD storage space to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.

Supported Browsers

Make sure you're using the latest version of one of the following browsers:

• Chrome
• Edge
• Safari
• Firefox

The following browser features should be enabled:

• JavaScript
• Cookies
• Local storage and session storage
• Hardware acceleration

Connection Requirements

• Stable internet connection (10 Mbit/s or faster recommended)
• VPNs, firewalls, or proxies must not block domains or URLs used by awork or third-party providers, as well as real-time connections (WebSockets, Long Polling)

Network and Firewall Settings

Make sure your network allows connections to our services and third-party services that awork needs to operate:

• Allow *.awork.com
• Allow WebSockets and HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher)
• Allow the following domains (subject to change):
  • *.intercom.io, *.intercomcdn.com, *.intercomassets.com
  • *.birdie.so
  • *.hcaptcha.com
  • *.segment.io, *.segment.com
  • *.launchdarkly.com

Desktop App

The desktop app supports Windows 10 and 11, as well as macOS 13 (Ventura) and newer.

• At least 8 GB of RAM
• At least 500 MB of SSD storage space
