System requirements for awork

Operating systems

awork runs in your browser and is optimized for the latest Windows and macOS systems. You can generally use awork on older systems too, but we recommend keeping your devices up to date so you can benefit from the latest security and performance improvements.

For optimal performance and responsiveness, your system should have at least a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor or faster, 8 GB of RAM, and 500 MB of free SSD storage.

Supported browsers

Make sure you're using the latest version of one of these browsers:

• Chrome
• Edge
• Safari
• Firefox

The following browser features should be enabled:

• JavaScript
• Cookies
• Local storage and session storage
• Hardware acceleration

Connection requirements

• A stable internet connection (10 Mbps or faster recommended)
• VPNs, firewalls, or proxies must not block domains or URLs used by awork or third parties, or real-time connections (WebSockets, long polling)

Network and firewall settings

Make sure your network allows connections to our services and the third-party services awork needs to operate:

• Allow *.awork.com
• Allow WebSockets and HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher)
• Allow the following domains (subject to change):
  • *.intercom.io, *.intercomcdn.com, *.intercomassets.com
  • *.birdie.so
  • *.hcaptcha.com
  • *.segment.io, *.segment.com
  • *.launchdarkly.com
  • *.chargebee.com, *.chargebeestaticv2.com
  • *.typekit.net
  • accounts.google.com
  • apis.google.com

Desktop app

The desktop app requires 64-bit Windows 10 or later, or macOS 13 or later. 32-bit Windows and macOS 12 or earlier are not supported.

• At least 8 GB of RAM
• At least 500 MB of SSD storage
