Importing Data from Trello
First, you'll need to export your data from Trello. You can find instructions on how to export your data here: Exporting Data from Trello.
☝️Important: Trello only allows data exports for Business Class customers. An alternative is to install the Trello Chrome Extension.
Trello exports your data as a .csv file. You can open this with Excel. All your data will be separated by commas in a single column. You can split the data into individual columns like this:
- Select the column with your data
- Go to Data in Excel and then select Text to Columns
- A pop-up will appear. Now select the option Delimited
- Choose the option Comma and click Finish
Data Mapping
Your data will now be displayed in individual columns. You can now copy this data into the awork import template. The field mapping is as follows:
| awork | Trello |
|---|---|
| Project Name | Board Name |
| Client | Name |
| Task Name | Field not available in Trello export |
| Description | Desc |
| Activity | Field not available in Trello export |
| Start Date | Field not available in Trello export |
| Due Date | Due |
| Planned Effort | Field not available in Trello export |
