FAQ

Can people use awork without their own license?

It depends on whether they're internal or external users:

  • Internal team members – people from your organization or with the same email domain – need a regular awork license.
  • External people like clients, freelancers, or partners can be invited to individual projects for free through awork Connect. No additional license or paid plan required.

External users' access rights are set through project-specific permission roles. This lets you limit access to just the content relevant for collaboration. Full workspace access isn't possible through Connect.

Are guest licenses still available?

For new invitations, we use awork Connect. The previous guest function has been replaced by Connect. Connect is available in all awork plans at no extra cost. Learn more in the article awork Connect – inviting external partners.

Can I test awork for free?

Yes - 14 days with full feature set (based on the Professional plan) without payment information, no automatic renewal.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

The contract length depends on the subscription you choose.

Can I add or remove users?

Yes - users are flexible to add and remove. Changes to additions take effect immediately, and removals take effect from the next billing period.

Do team members who only occasionally need to read things need a license?

Yes - every internal person who wants to access the workspace needs a license.

Can I give team members temporary access to the workspace?

No - awork doesn't offer temporary or limited-time access. Each person needs an active license as long as they should have access. Keep in mind: if you add licenses and then reduce them later, the reduction takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Can I switch plans?

Yes - you can change your plan. If you switch to a cheaper plan, the features of the higher plan will no longer be available from the next billing period. Here's how upgrading or downgrading works.

What happens if I'm not satisfied after purchase?

The Basic, Standard, and Professional plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee - full refund with no questions asked.
