My Tracked Times
What does "My Tracked Times" show?
In the Times menu item, you'll find an overview of all the times you've tracked. There are three different views available here:
- My Day
- My Week
- My Times
☝️ Note: You can also view tracked time directly on the task. To do this, go to your task's detail view and click on the green "Accrued" button in the task KPIs (Due date, Planned, Accrued, Progress). A small window will open showing you all the times tracked so far for that task. You can find more information here.
My Day - Daily View
The My Day view shows you all the times you've tracked today (or on another selected day). A circular progress bar at the top left fills up as you log time. The maximum value of the display is your weekly capacity divided by 5.
Directly below that is a list of all times tracked for that day.
Track Times with Click & Drag
In the middle and right area, you'll see a timeline with the times of day. You can create new time tracking entries here using click and drag.
With drag and drop, you can move times around and adjust the start and end times.
The dashed lines indicate two things:
- When you first opened awork on that day.
- The current time
Suggestions Based on Activity in awork
To the right of your tracked times, you'll find suggestions (Activity) from awork showing which elements you might still want to log time for. These are based on completed tasks, times you regularly track, and so on.
When you click on these, the window for creating a new time entry will automatically be filled in with the information, and you can save it.
If you don't want to receive these suggestions, you can hide them in your account settings (accessible through the user menu in the top right of the screen).
Track Times from Calendar Events
You can integrate your Google, Apple, or Microsoft calendar on the right using the calendar icon. Your appointments will then be displayed in the timeline, and you can add a new time entry with a single click on an appointment.
Here you can learn how to integrate your calendar.
My Week - Weekly View
In the My Week view, you see all the times for the week. The weekly view works without specific times. All time tracking entries for each day are displayed, and the height represents the duration of each entry.
☝️ Note: The time blocks displayed in the "My Week" view are based on your specified weekly capacity. For example, if you only have 4 hours of availability on Monday, the time block will only be displayed for 4 hours.
Add Times
By clicking on the dashed boxes, you can add new times. awork automatically fills in the duration with 8 hours. This way, you can easily track your entire week with full-day entries.
Move Times
You can drag and drop times in the weekly view between different days or change their duration by dragging the bottom edge to make them larger or smaller.
My Times - List View
In the My Times view, you can see an overview of all your tracked times. Additionally, you can export your times, search for a specific time entry, and group the entries as you like using the icons in the top right.
☝️ Important: Times from timers that are still running are not displayed here.
☝️ Note: Absences only appear once a time period has been selected.
Edit Times Individually or Multiple at Once
There are several ways to edit times in this view:
Edit individually:
Click the action button on an entry to open a window where you can make changes.
Edit multiple at once:
- Use the checkboxes to the left of the entries to select them.
- An action menu will then appear at the bottom, allowing you to perform actions like "mark as billed".
- You can also select all entries in a group using the checkbox in the list header.
Depending on your permissions in the rights management, you can also change the project, task, or user for multiple entries at the same time.
