awork AI rolls out directly on top of your existing project knowledge. Projects, timelines, resources, time tracking - all of that already lives in awork and becomes the foundation for your team's AI usage with awork AI, always with the right context and appropriate access permissions.
With awork AI, every active user gets their own AI credit allowance. You can choose the right AI plan each month and switch flexibly whenever you need to.
awork AI is a separate subscription, in addition to your regular awork plan.
Features
awork AI includes all the features you need for a successful AI rollout in your team:

- Tools, Skills and Memory for advanced agent features
- Team-wide sharing of threads, skills and agents

In regular awork plans, AI features will only be available in a heavily limited way going forward.
Plans and Pricing
The AI plans differ only in the amount of available AI credits.

Important to know:

awork AI has no minimum contract term and is independent of your regular awork subscription (you can add or remove it monthly).

All active users/booked licenses in a workspace need at least AI Starter (15$/month).

Users can be booked individually on higher awork AI plans.

Credit consumption can be evaluated by model, user, customer and project.

In the first month, all AI Starter users automatically get 4x the credit allowance at no extra cost (equivalent to AI Pro). This lets you roll out your AI workflows optimally.
The 4x allowance applies once in the first month only, after that you get the regular plan allowance.

After 14 days, the trial ends automatically and won't convert to a paid subscription.
An admin can book awork AI anytime during the trial period. If you don't book it, the add-on features will be deactivated after the trial ends. AI-generated content and configurations you created can be saved and reactivated when you book later.
Book awork AI
You can book awork AI directly when signing up for awork or add it to your existing subscription. Good to know: Only admins can book or modify the awork AI add-on.

Billing Cycle
awork AI runs independently from your regular awork subscription and can be added or removed monthly. The billing period aligns with your regular awork subscription's date. So if your regular subscription starts on the 15th, the awork AI billing cycle also starts on the 15th.
If you book AI during an ongoing billing cycle, only the remaining period will be charged initially.
Example: If you decide to add AI two weeks before the end of your current billing cycle, you'll only pay for those two weeks. When the next billing cycle begins, the full amount will be charged.
When you activate it, every active user automatically gets at least the AI Starter plan.
Partial activation for only individual users isn't possible (except for deactivated users and external awork Connect users). Billing is per license: what matters is your current number of booked licenses.
If you change the number of booked users, the AI subscription will be adjusted accordingly.
Inviting New Users
If awork AI is active in your workspace, newly invited users automatically get the AI Starter plan and are billed accordingly. You can assign a higher AI plan to new users anytime. If a user is added during an ongoing billing period, billing is prorated.
Upgrade or Downgrade AI Plans
If a user's credit allowance isn't enough, you can upgrade them to a higher AI plan anytime. The upgrade takes effect immediately, meaning the new allowance applies right away for the current billing month and any already-used credits are adjusted.
Individual users can of course also be downgraded to a lower AI plan. The downgrade then takes effect starting with the next billing month.
Important to know:
- Unused credits expire at the end of the billing period and don't roll over to the next month.
- Individual credits can't currently be purchased separately - if a user's allowance runs out, they can switch to a higher plan
- When the allowance is used up, no automatic extra charges occur.
Cancel awork AI
awork AI has no minimum contract term and can be cancelled monthly anytime - independent of your regular awork subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period. You'll keep access until the end of that cycle.
If your regular awork subscription ends, awork AI automatically ends with it. You don't need to cancel it separately in that case.
What stays with you?
The paid AI features get deactivated. Content you've already moved into awork projects, tasks, documents or other areas stays. Threads, memory, custom agents and skills can also be saved and will be available again if you reactivate later.

Is awork AI part of my regular awork subscription?
No. awork AI is a separate subscription.
How often is awork AI billed?
awork AI is billed monthly, even if your regular awork subscription runs on a different billing cycle (12 or 24 months).
What AI plan does a user start with?
Every user starts with the AI Starter plan. After that, users can individually be upgraded to higher AI plans to get a higher credit allowance.
Can users have different AI plans?
Yes. Users can be individually upgraded to higher AI plans.
Do I need an AI plan per user or per license?
The AI plan is billed per booked license.
Does the AI credit allowance apply per user or for the entire workspace?
AI credits are provided per user per month. AI credits can't be transferred between users or pooled across the workspace.
Do unused credits expire?
Yes. Unused credits expire at the end of each monthly AI billing period and don't carry over to the next period.
Can I buy individual credits?
Currently, credits can't be purchased individually. An administrator can instead upgrade individual users to a higher plan.
Who can change a user's AI plan?
Only admins can activate awork AI or upgrade and downgrade individual users' AI plans.
Are there extra costs if my AI credit allowance runs out?
No. Once your included AI credits are used up, no automatic extra charges occur.
Does the free awork AI trial period automatically become paid?
No. The awork AI trial period ends automatically after 14 days and doesn't automatically convert to a paid add-on.
Can I cancel the awork AI add-on independently from my regular awork subscription?
Yes. The awork AI add-on can be cancelled independently from your regular awork subscription. The cancellation of awork AI takes effect at the end of your current monthly billing period. If you cancel your regular awork subscription, the awork AI add-on also ends at the end of the billing period.
