Where Do I Find What?

The navigation has fundamentally changed. Here's a quick overview of the most important changes:

• General search -> now accessible by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the top left of the main menu, or via the floating action bar at the bottom center
• Dashboard -> now called Home, top left in the main menu
• Projects in main menu -> accessible via Favorites, External Projects, and My Projects (sections can be customized in account settings)
• Help and documentation -> now accessible via the question mark icon at the bottom left of the main menu
• User overview -> now accessible via workspace settings at the bottom left of the main menu
• User profile -> now accessible by clicking your profile picture at the bottom left of the main menu
• Timer -> now accessible by clicking the play button in the floating action bar at the bottom center
• Project notifications -> now accessible via the bell icon at the bottom left of the main menu
• Messages, comments, and mentions -> now accessible via the inbox icon at the top left of the main menu
• Global action button -> has been removed; search and quick actions are now directly accessible via the floating action bar at the bottom center

Frequently Asked Questions

When will my workspace get the update?

The rollout starts in early July and will be phased in over four to six weeks. You'll receive a notification as soon as your workspace is ready. New workspaces created from the start of the rollout will have the new awork immediately.

Where is the support chat now?

The help button is still there in the new interface, located in the main menu. You can find it at the bottom left by clicking the question mark icon. Alternatively, you can reach us anytime at support@awork.com.

I can't find my projects anymore. Where are they?

The projects section in the main menu is now divided into Favorites, External Projects, and My Projects. You can access your projects through these or directly via the search function. You can also customize which sections are displayed in the menu via your account settings.

What happened to the project search?

It's been replaced by the central search, which is now accessible directly from the main menu or the floating action bar.

Why can't I hide the menu completely anymore?

This isn't possible in the new awork. Instead, you can minimize the menu to make optimal use of your space without losing any functionality.

What happened to the settings submenu?

The permanently visible submenu is no longer available in the new awork for now. However, it will be coming back soon in an updated form. Settings are still fully accessible via the settings section in the main menu.

Where is the timer?

In the floating action bar (the fixed bar at the bottom of the screen that always stays visible) - click the play icon.
