The awork Product Roadmap
How we develop awork
We're pursuing a long-term product vision with awork. That means we have a clear picture of where we're heading: team organization in its simplest and smartest form, tailored especially to the needs of fast-moving, project-oriented teams. We're building the work management tool that enables these teams to work together more happily.
But that doesn't mean we know every feature ahead of time or can schedule and guarantee its development. We continuously collect feedback, requests, and ideas from our users, conduct interviews, create concepts (and discard them again), and respond to developments in technology and the way we work.
Planning Horizons
From all these sources, thousands of ideas emerge, which our product team filters, catalogs, and incorporates into our broader concepts.
As a rule, there are therefore different planning horizons:
- Over 12-18 months we know the broad topic areas in which we want to further develop awork (for example, resource planning or process automation).
- For areas coming up in approximately the next 6 months, we start creating and testing concrete concepts.
- The next release we know in detail and can usually announce its publication down to the week.
We typically aim for a release about every 8 weeks (you can find the overview of past releases here) and break our larger projects into corresponding components. Since that's not always practical, we deviate from this rule on a case-by-case basis as needed.
The current roadmap
We regularly publish the current status of our roadmap on our website: https://www.awork.com/de/roadmap/.
☝️Note: In our awork Community under "News" you'll also find regular updates about our roadmap, written by our product team.
