The awork Product Roadmap
How We Develop awork
We follow a long-term product vision with awork. This means we have a clear idea of where we're heading: team organization in its simplest and smartest form, tailored specifically to the needs of fast-moving, project-oriented teams. We're building the work management tool that enables these teams to collaborate more happily together.
But that doesn't mean we know every feature in advance or can schedule and guarantee its development far ahead of time. We continuously collect feedback, wishes, and ideas from our users, conduct interviews, create concepts (and discard them again), and respond to developments in technology and the working world.
Planning Horizons
From all these sources, thousands of ideas emerge, which our product team filters, categorizes, and incorporates into our broader concepts.
So there are typically different planning horizons:
- Over 12-18 months ahead, we know the broad topic areas in which we want to develop awork further (for example, resource planning or process automation).
- For areas coming up around the next 6 months, we start creating and testing concrete concepts.
- Our next release we know in great detail and can usually announce its launch down to the week.
We typically aim for a release roughly every 8 weeks (you can find the overview of past releases here) and break our larger projects into corresponding components. Since this doesn't always make sense, we deviate from this rule on a case-by-case basis as needed.
The Current Roadmap
We regularly publish the current status of our roadmap on our website: https://www.awork.com/roadmap/.
☝️ Note: In our awork Community under News, you'll also find regular updates about our roadmap, written by our product team.
How to Contribute Your Ideas
☝️💡 If you have an idea or a wish for how we can make awork even better for users like you, we'd love to hear about it. The perfect place for this is our awork Community. There you can describe your idea, attach screenshots and videos, and know that our product team will carefully review every submitted idea. Alternatively, you're also welcome to contact our support team and share your ideas with them. Using the question mark icon in the top left of your awork, you can get to the community or contact support directly from there.
