awork AI is an integrated project assistant controlled through natural language (prompts). It delivers context-aware support for projects, tasks, time tracking, docs and more, so you can get answers, take action, and create content without leaving your workflow.

You can use awork AI wherever you see the awork AI button - in the floating toolbar, in project view, or via keyboard shortcut. The assistant understands what you have open and gives you relevant, tailored answers.

How to use awork AI

Open the assistant

• Click the awork AI button in the floating menu at the bottom center.
• Or use keyboard shortcuts:
  • Mac: Cmd + I
  • Windows: Ctrl + I
• Or click awork AI in the project task overview (top right) to work directly with project content.
• To close, press Esc or click Close in the top right.

Choose a display mode

Popup mode

• Appears over the floating toolbar.
• Enter prompts at the top, get answers below.
• Collapse or expand as needed.

Sidebar mode

• Opens on the right across the full height.
• Can be pinned so the assistant stays open alongside your workflow.

Manage conversations

1. Enter your prompt - awork AI responds in the same thread.
2. Use History (at the top) to reopen or continue earlier conversations.
3. Click New (start a new conversation) or use the shortcut to start fresh.

awork AI understands the context of your screen. Phrases like "current project" or "this task" are interpreted based on what you have open.

Known limitations

• Copying or duplicating projects may not work correctly.
• Distributing tasks across lists may stop mid-process.
• Inviting users to the workspace or via Connect is not possible.
• You cannot invite users via AI.
• You cannot create custom fields via AI.
• AI can occasionally make mistakes - always verify important results.

• Make prompts as specific as possible rather than very general requests.
• Carefully check all generated content before you use or apply it.
• Use awork AI as a starting point - not as a final decision-maker.
• Rate answers with 👍 / 👎 to help improve the system.

Important: awork AI is fully GDPR compliant, hosted in the EU, and meets transparency requirements of the EU AI Act. It does not use customer data for training and respects permissions - AI only sees what you're allowed to see.

Does awork AI work automatically in the background?

No. awork AI only makes suggestions when you actively ask for them and never makes changes on its own.

Can I edit AI-generated content?

Yes. All AI results are fully editable - you can adjust them, regenerate them, or discard them.

Is awork AI included in my plan?

During the beta phase, awork AI is available in all plans.

Can I disable AI features in my workspace?

Yes. Admins can completely disable awork AI under Settings > General.

Who can read my AI chats?

Only you can read your AI conversations. Admins cannot see or access AI chats from other users.
