System Requirements for awork

To make sure awork runs smoothly, your setup should meet the following requirements.

Operating Systems

awork runs in the browser and is optimized for the latest Windows and MacOS systems. It might work on older systems, but we recommend keeping your devices up to date for the latest security and performance improvements.


Supported Browsers

For the best experience, use the latest version of one of these browsers:

  • Chrome

  • Edge

  • Safari

  • Firefox

Make sure the following browser features are enabled:

  • JavaScript

  • Cookies

  • Local and session storage

Please note: Browser plugins or extensions, especially ad blockers and firewall tools, may interfere with performance.


Connection Requirements

  • A stable internet connection (10 Mbps or faster recommended)

  • VPNs, firewalls or proxies must not block real-time connections


Network and Firewall Settings

Please make sure, your network allows connections to our services:

  • Allow all traffic to *.awork.com

  • Allow WebSockets and HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher)

  • Allow the following domains (list not exhaustive, subject to change):

    • *.intercom.io, *.intercomcdn.com, *.intercomassets.com

    • *.birdie.so

    • *.hcaptcha.com

    • *.segment.io, *.segment.com

    • *.launchdarkly.com

    • *.chargebee.com, *.chargebeestaticv2.com

    • *.typekit.net


Desktop App

The desktop app supports Windows 10 and 11 as well as macOS 13 (Ventura) and later.

  • At least 8GB RAM

  • At least 500MB of disk space

The macOS App comes in two variants, one for Intel x64 processors and one for Apple M processors (introduced in 2020). Make sure to download the correct version to avoid performance issues.


Mobile App

  • Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later.

  • iOS 14 and later.
