AI rolls out directly on your existing project knowledge. Projects, timelines, resources, time tracking - all of this already lives in awork and becomes the foundation for your team's AI usage with awork AI, always with the right context and appropriate access permissions.
With awork AI, every active user gets their own AI credit allowance. You can choose the right AI plan each month and switch flexibly whenever you need to.
awork AI is a separate subscription, in addition to your regular awork plan.

The AI plans differ only in the available amount of AI credits you can use.

Important to know:

awork AI has no minimum contract term and is independent of your regular awork plan's duration (you can add or remove it monthly).

All active users in a workspace, including invited users, need at least the AI Starter plan (15€/month).

The number of AI licenses depends on the number of active users and is independent of the licenses booked in your regular awork plan.

Try awork AI
You can try awork AI for free for 14 days - with selected models and a limited credit allowance. If that's not enough for you, just get in touch anytime.
After 14 days, the trial ends automatically and won't convert to a paid subscription.
An admin can book awork AI anytime during the trial period. If you don't book it, the add-on features will be disabled after the trial ends. AI content and configurations you've created can be saved and reactivated when you book later.
Book awork AI
You can book awork AI directly when signing up for awork or add it to your existing plan. Good to know: Only admins can book or modify the awork AI add-on.
Billing Cycle
awork AI runs independently from your regular awork plan and can be added or removed monthly. The billing period is aligned with your regular awork plan's date. So if that starts on the 15th, the awork AI billing cycle also starts on the 15th.
If you book AI during an ongoing billing cycle, you'll only pay for the remaining time initially.
Example: If you decide to get AI two weeks before the current billing cycle ends, you'll only pay for those two weeks. When the next billing cycle starts, you'll be charged the full amount.
When you activate it, every active user automatically gets at least the AI Starter plan.
You can't activate it for just some active users. AI licenses are booked for active users and are independent of the user licenses booked in your regular awork plan.
The number of AI licenses is based on the current number of active users, including invited users.
If you change the number of active users, your AI plan will be adjusted accordingly.
Inviting New Users
If awork AI is active in your workspace, newly invited users automatically get the AI Starter plan and are counted as an AI license. You can assign a higher AI plan to new users anytime. If a user is invited during an ongoing billing period, the charge is calculated proportionally.
Upgrade or Downgrade AI Plans
If individual users run out of credits, you can upgrade them to a higher AI plan anytime. The upgrade takes effect immediately, meaning the new allowance applies right away for the current billing month - already used credits are deducted.
Individual users can of course also be downgraded to a lower AI plan. The downgrade takes effect starting the next billing month.
Important to know:
- Unused credits expire at the end of the billing period and don't carry over to the next month.
- You currently can't buy individual credits - if a user runs out, they can switch to a higher plan.
- When credits are used up, no automatic additional charges occur.
Cancel awork AI
awork AI has no minimum contract term and can be cancelled anytime on a monthly basis, independent of your regular awork plan. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period. You keep access until the end of this cycle.
If your regular awork plan ends, awork AI automatically ends too. You don't need to cancel it separately in that case.
What stays?
The paid AI features get disabled. Content you've already transferred to awork projects, tasks, documents or other areas stays. Threads, memory, custom agents and skills can also be saved and will be available again if you reactivate later.

No. awork AI is a separate subscription.
How often is awork AI billed?
awork AI is billed monthly, even if your regular awork plan runs on a different billing cycle (12 or 24 months).
What AI plan does a user start with?
Every active user starts with the AI Starter plan. This also applies to newly invited users. Deactivated users don't need an AI license. After that, users can be individually upgraded to higher AI plans to get a higher credit allowance.
Can users have different AI plans?
Yes. Active users can be individually upgraded to higher AI plans. Invited users automatically start with AI Starter.
Do I need one AI plan per user or per license?
The AI plan is calculated per active user. Invited users are also counted. The number of AI licenses is based on active users, not on the total number of users booked in your regular awork plan.
Does the AI credit allowance apply per user or to the entire workspace?
AI credits are provided per user and per month. AI credits can't be transferred between users or pooled in the workspace.
Do unused credits expire?
Yes. Unused credits expire at the end of each monthly AI billing period and don't carry over to the next period.
Can I buy individual credits?
Currently, credits can't be purchased individually. An admin can instead upgrade individual users to a higher plan.
Who can change a user's AI plan?
Only admins can activate awork AI or upgrade and downgrade individual users' AI plans.
Are there additional costs if my AI credit allowance runs out?
No. Once the included AI credits are used up, no automatic additional charges occur.
Does the free awork AI trial period automatically become paid?
No. The awork AI trial period ends automatically after 14 days and won't automatically convert to a paid add-on.
Can I cancel the awork AI add-on independently from my regular awork plan?
Yes. The awork AI add-on can be cancelled independently from your regular awork subscription. Cancellation of awork AI takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period. If you've cancelled your regular awork plan, the awork AI add-on also ends at the end of the billing period.
