Where do I find things?
The navigation has changed fundamentally. Here are the most important changes at a glance:
General search → now via a click on the magnifying glass at the top left of the main menu, or via the Floating Action Bar at the bottom center
Dashboard → now called Home, at the top left of the main menu
Projects in the main menu → accessible via Favorites, External projects and My projects (sections can be adjusted in your account settings)
Help and docs → now via the question mark icon at the bottom left of the main menu
User overview → now via the workspace settings at the bottom left of the main menu
User profile → now via a click on your profile picture at the bottom left of the main menu
Timer → now via a click on the play button in the Floating Action Bar at the bottom center
Project notifications → now via the bell icon at the bottom left of the main menu
Messages, comments and mentions → now via the inbox icon at the top left of the main menu
Global action button → has been removed; search and quick actions are now directly accessible via the Floating Action Bar at the bottom center
Frequently asked questions
When does my workspace get the update?
The rollout starts in early July and runs gradually over four to six weeks. You'll get a notification as soon as your workspace is up. Workspaces created from the start of the rollout have the new awork right away.
Where's the support chat now?
The help button is placed in the main menu in the new interface, but it's still there. You'll find it at the bottom left by clicking the question mark icon. Alternatively, you can reach us any time at [email protected].
I can't find my projects anymore. Where are they?
The Projects area in the main menu is now divided into Favorites, External projects and My projects. You can reach your projects there or directly via search. In your account settings, you can also adjust which areas are shown in the menu.
Where did the project search go?
It's been replaced by the central search, which is now accessible directly from the main menu or the Floating Action Bar.
Why can't I fully hide the menu anymore?
That's not possible in the new awork. Instead, you can minimize the menu – making the most of your space without losing functionality.
Where did the settings submenu go?
The permanently visible submenu is gone for now in the new awork. It will, however, return soon in a reworked form. The settings are still fully accessible via the Settings area in the main menu.
Where's the timer?
In the Floating Action Bar (the fixed bar at the bottom of the screen that stays visible at all times) – click the play icon.
