awork AI is a natural-language, prompt-based, built-in project assistant. It gives context-aware help across your projects, tasks, time tracking, docs, and more so you can get answers, perform actions, and generate content without leaving your workflow.

It works wherever you see the awork AI button — in the floating toolbar, project view, or via shortcuts — and understands what you’re looking at to give relevant responses

How to use awork AI

Open the assistant

  • Click the awork AI button in the floating menu on the page bottom center (draggable to bottom-right)

  • Or use keyboard shortcuts:

    • Mac: Cmd + I

    • Windows: Ctrl + I

  • Or click awork AI in the project task overview (top right) to act on project items

  • To close the assistant, press Esc or click the close button in the top-right corner

Choose an interface mode

Popup mode

  • Appears above the floating toolbar

  • Enter prompts at the top and get responses below

  • Expand or collapse as needed

Sidebar mode

  • Opens on the right side at full height

  • Can be pinned so it stays open alongside your workflow

Manage conversations

  1. Type your prompt and the AI replies within the same thread

  2. Use the History button at the top to revisit or continue previous conversations

  3. Click New (Start New Conversation) or use the shortcut to start fresh


Work with context

awork AI knows your screen context. References like “current project” or “this task” are interpreted based on what you currently have open.

Important: AI only sees information you have permission to access.

Bulk Operations

AI asks for confirmation before executing large or bulk changes.


Limitations

  • Copying or duplicating projects may not work correctly

  • Task distribution to lists can stop mid-operation

  • Inviting users to the workspace or via Connect is not possible

  • You cannot invite users via AI

  • You cannot create custom fields via AI

  • AI may occasionally make mistakes — always verify key results

Important: As a beta feature, awork AI may produce inaccurate or incomplete suggestions. Always review results before using them.


Best practices for better results

  • Be specific in your prompts instead of using generic requests

  • Review all generated content carefully before applying it

  • Use awork AI as a starting point, not a final authority

  • Rate responses with 👍 / 👎 to improve the system

  • Try example prompts shown at the bottom of the popup.


Compliance and Security

Important: awork AI is fully GDPR compliant, hosted in the EU, and adheres to EU AI Act transparency standards. It never uses customer data for training and respects user permissions — it only sees what you can see.

Can I edit AI-generated content?

Yes, all AI-generated content is fully editable and can be changed, regenerated, or discarded.

During the beta phase, awork AI is available in all plans.

Can I disable AI features in my workspace?

Yes, admins can fully disable awork AI under Settings > General.

Who can read my AI chats?

Only you can read your AI conversations. Admins cannot see or access AI chats started by other users.
