Personio Integration

The Personio integration is available starting with the Professional plan. Here's how the integration from awork to Personio works and what it can do for you.

Key Benefits and Use Cases

• Automatic Absence Transfers: Absences are automatically transferred from Personio to awork.
• Hourly Synchronization: Changes in Personio appear in awork with a maximum delay of 1 hour.
• Past and Future Transfers: Absences are transferred up to 14 days in the past and up to 365 days in the future.

How the Personio Integration Works

1. Navigate to Personio: Log in to your Personio account.
2. Open Settings: Click on Settings in the bottom left and then go to the Marketplace.
3. Search for awork: Search for awork and select it.
4. Connect: Click on Connect.
5. Generate API Credential: Generate a new API credential, give it a name, and click Go to awork.
6. Enter in awork: You'll be redirected to awork, where you can enter your API credentials.
7. Settings in awork: Go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom left of the main menu) > Integrations and open the Integration Library.
8. Select Personio: Select Personio and click Set up Integration.
9. Copy IDs: Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from Personio and paste them in the awork window.
10. Save: Click Save to set up the integration.

You'll then see a window showing the matched users (based on their email address in both tools). Check the email addresses if unexpected users appear in the list of unmatched users.

Notes

• Matching is done using the account email address. This must be the same in Personio and awork.
• Absences that come from Personio cannot be edited or deleted in awork. They're marked accordingly with the Personio icon.
• You can, however, manually create and edit absences in awork.
• Important: Holidays are NOT transferred from Personio to awork.

What happens if I transfer an absence outside the 14-day window?

Absences that start or end outside this timeframe are still transferred as long as they end or start within the 14-day period.

How often does synchronization occur?

Synchronization between Personio and awork happens hourly.

What should I do if I see users in the list of unmatched users?

Check the email addresses of the users in both tools.

Can I edit absences in awork?

Absences that come from Personio cannot be edited or deleted in awork.
