OttoKit (formerly SureTriggers) is an all-in-one automation platform that allows you to seamlessly connect awork with your favorite tools to automate workflows and streamline business processes – all without needing any coding skills.
General Information
OttoKit is an interface that links awork with a variety of tools and operates in both directions. An action in awork can automatically trigger a response in another app – or vice versa. The setup is simple, fast, and requires no prior knowledge.
The functionality is based on the creation of if/then rules. In OttoKit, the "if" rule is defined as a trigger that activates a specific event. The subsequent "then" rule is called an action, which determines what action will be executed. With OttoKit, you can create triggers that respond to events in awork or other apps, and define actions that automate tasks and efficiently transfer data to the desired app.
In the awork OttoKit integration, the following triggers and actions are available:
Triggers (events that start automations):
Client Added
Project Added
Project Member Added
Project Task Added
Task Status Changed
User Added
Time Entry Updated
New Time Entry
Time Entry Deleted
Project Task Deleted
Actions (tasks that are performed after a trigger):
Create a new project
Create a new client
Create a new project task
Assign user to task
How it works
Creating automations in OttoKit is simple thanks to its user-friendly interface. Just follow these steps:
In your awork workspace, go to Settings > Integrations. Open the integration library and select OttoKit from the API Connectors category. Click on Set Up Integration to be redirected to the OttoKit platform.
Alternatively, you can use this direct link to access the OttoKit integration page for awork.
In the OttoKit window, choose a trigger and an action, then click Get Connected.
If you do not already have an account, sign up for OttoKit. A free version is available, which includes all the essential features to get started.
In the next step, you'll be presented with the option to edit your pre-selected trigger and action between awork and the chosen app. Specify the events you want to trigger and adjust settings as needed.
👉🏻 You will need to log into the connected apps
If you prefer to start from scratch, go to your OttoKit homepage, click Create a new workflow, assign a name to your workflow, and begin configuring it from the beginning.
After configuring your triggers and actions, review the settings. Test the workflow to ensure everything functions correctly.
Once your workflow is complete, set it to Publish. Your automation is now live and can be tested directly in your awork workspace.
By following these steps, you will have successfully created and activated your first OttoKit workflow.
