With the Microsoft Teams integration, updates from your projects can be posted to Microsoft Teams channels. In addition, you can create tasks, comments, and times in awork from within Microsoft Teams.
Set up the integration for Microsoft Teams
To set up the integration with MS Teams, go to “Apps” in the left menu bar in Teams. Search there for awork.
Click on “Add”. In the next step, a pop-up window will open. Click on “Add to a team” here. Then select your team and click on “Set up bot”.
You will then receive a welcome message from the awork bot in the team you have selected.
Next, you need to connect your Microsoft Teams tenant to your awork workspace. To do this, simply execute any awork Bot command. As soon as the awork bot receives a command from a tenant that is not yet linked, you will receive a reply with a link to connect your workspace.
Now log in on the login screen. After successful login, the tenant will be linked and you will receive a message that the connection was successful. Now close the tab and return to Microsoft Teams.
To receive notifications from a project or to create/enter tasks/times directly on a project, you must now link a project to the channel. This works via the @awork link command. You will then receive another link to the command, which you can use to select an awork project from your workspace in a new tab.
Now select the project on the page and save.
After saving, you can close the tab and return to Teams. In the meantime, you should have received a notification that the connection was successful.
The notification settings can be adjusted directly in the awork project in Settings > Integrations. Tip: You get a link to the project settings of the linked project of a channel with the @awork settings command.
You can now use the integration and use the following @-commands. 🥳
To remove a link between an awork project and a Microsoft Teams channel, use the @awork unlink command.
Create tasks/time tracking from Microsoft Teams
With the integration, you can also work directly with awork within Microsoft Teams. You can use the following @-commands :
@awork add [task] - creates a new task in awork project
@awork comment [task]:[text] - Creates a comment to the entered task
@awork start [task/project] - Start time tracking on a task/project
@awork stop - Stop running time tracking
@awork help - Shows you all options for the awork Connectors
@awork link -

So, for example, just type @awork add Create design for logo in Teams, and the task Create design for logo will be created in the linked project, or as a private task if no project is linked.
